Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Douglas Kochan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Justin
Condolence: Just called Schneiders fish to get a price on fresh cod. Guy answered the phone named Jeff. He remembered you all to well Dad. We talked about the jumping little kitchen you had and all the success between you and Casey's. He assured me you were a character and a no bs guy, that sounds about right . We all miss you Dad and today brought back a lot of memories for your two boys and granddaughters here in Kansas. Love you Dad

What can I say about a great guy that decided
to give me a "job" as a cook-and a waitress at
his bar that his father "Hank" and Doug owned
together known as: Kochans/Hanks Tavern
on the corner of: Reservation and Grote Street
in the heart of Black Rock...a great place to see
families come out to meet and greet one another-
and to share a great Fish-Fry along with great
bar specials as well...
I will miss this man-for the last time I saw him
was when Linda (his wife) was moving from there
place of residence...I was sad then-and I am sad now-
"DOUGIE...rise with the Angels and the family that
has gone before us all-may you be finally out of
pain and be free of all that you had to endure
these last years....Let it go"
Peace be with you always.....
My deepest sympathy to Linda and the family-
