The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Caleb Basiliko can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: So sorry to hear this news. Caleb and I met when I gave a lecture to his Buffalo State Furniture Making Class over 20 years ago. He later interned with me at Armageddon Furniture. That year was an intense time of learning for both of us. His energy and good natured efforts were an inspiration. My heart goes out to Joanna, his mother and children. I will miss seeing him greatly on my yearly pilgrimages to Buffalo.

Condolence: Oh, Captain Caleb, I am so sorry to hear you are gone. My deepest condolences to your family and friends. My son and I loved the years working with you on Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. I always knew my truck and boat were in good hands when you were in the wheelhouse. You always got the sampling done well, safely, and on-time, if not under budget (how much was dinner?!). Your great sense of humor, hearty laugh, and warm smile always brightened our days. I loved your stories about your kids and how they made you proud and happy. We will miss you terribly. Rest in Peace, Captain. Love, Lee and Markus.

Condolence: No words can express the heartache I feel for Caleb, his family and his children. I first met Caleb over last summer, but the times we talked felt like we had known each other forever. This wonderful, gentle and loving man left us way to soon and he will be forever missed and loved. My thoughts and deepest prayers go out to Caleb's children, family and friends.
