Condolence: With great sadness I share my thoughts and memories of Barbara. We developed a friendship after her husband died. She did not drive so I offered to go shopping with her. We looked forward to choosing a different place to eat before shopping. In 2016 Barbara wished to visit her family and friends in Singapore. She invited me to travel with her and paid my way. This trip was forever a wonderful time ...seeing the beautiful country, meeting the many friends, eating the delicious food....laughing, talking, walking. Barbara, thank you my friend! Rest in peace!

Condolence: I have the pleasure of knowing and seeing Barbara in person in 2011 when she flew in to Singapore with Jaiton and Norman after Alan’s death. The following year, together with Norman and Jaiton, Karim and Mariah and my husband we went to Sarawak, East Malaysia. We all had a nice time together. Barbara flew in to Singapore again in March of 2016 with Rebecca, her friend from Florida for a month and she returned again In Oct and stayed for 6months. She and I shared many stories of her younger days in Tonawanda while we were all vacationing in Batam Island, Indonesia. She enjoyed my cooking and looked forward to returning again this Oct but it was not meant to be. Barbara, you are now in a better place with your husband, Alan. Rest In Peace

Condolence: Over many years we have been friends with Norm and Jaiton Buchbinder along with Barbara and Alan Jones. After Al had passed away, when visiting FL during the winter months, we would get together with Norm, Jai and Babs for breakfast at a local restaurant. It was always a fun time and Babs added to the humor with her many stories. Barbara will be missed by all. We will keep Babs and Al in our prayers.

Condolence From: Mariah
Condolence: I first met Barbara in Florida in 2001. That was my first trip to the USA. My husband and I were treated to a delicious fish dinner by Barbara and her husband, Alan to welcome us to Florida. Together with her mother, Norman and Jaiton...they really took care of us throughout our stay and we enjoyed our holiday. It was memorable. I made a return visit with my girlfriend, Latha in 2010 . Unfortunately Alan was sick and Babs could not join us sightseeing but she helped Alan to bake a cheesecake for the Christmas dinner at Norm and Jai’s house. Both my husband and I were shocked to hear of the untimely death of Babs but we know she is up there in heaven with her beloved husband.. May you Rest In Peace Babs. We will miss you. Mariah from Singapore.

Condolence: My deepest condolences. When I first visited her in Tampa Bay 18 yrs ago she said that I am from Hawaii. That's was a compliment. She is a very likeable person and she loved my son Firdaus who was ten at that time and communicated thru Facebook regularly. I had fond memories of her visiting my home and enjoying my wife Asian cooking. She like Singapore very much and in fact Jaiton had made arrangements for her long visit pass from immigration department. We had looked forward for her arrival in October 2018 but not to be. We want you Barbara Jones to know how much we love you. Goodbye.

Condolence: I am saddened by the sudden demise of my lovely aunt, Barbara Jones. She’s a lovely person who’s loved by her Singapore and USA family and friends. I’ve enjoyed the visits to her home in the USA, showering her with little gifts, and the time spent with her in Singapore. I was pleasantly surprised when she called me via the Facebook messenger video call to wish me a happy 40th birthday last September. “How IT savvy” I said to her... and how thoughtful ... and she was very happy. I got to show her around my university campus that day and it was a precious moment we shared that I will always remember. We were looking forward to Barbara’s visit in Singapore this October but God has other plans for her. My deepest sympathies go to all who loved Barbara deeply, especially to her brother, my precious uncle Norm, who has shed the most tears since receiving the news of Barbara’s demise, and of course, my Aunty Jai, whose heart ached upon receiving the news. Please know that we are here for you, Uncle Norm & Aunty Jai - a FaceTime and whatsapp away - so please don’t hesitate to reach out, especially during this difficult time. May the care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. On behalf of my family, we extend our most sincere condolences.

Condolence From: Latha
Condolence: We were deeply saddened to hear the sad news of Barbara’s passing. Barbara’s demise is a loss to her family and friends in Singapore. Barbara whom I had known for 38 years, was a dearest sister to Norm and Jai and a wonderful friend. She enjoyed meeting Jai’s family and friends in Singapore. A simple, sincere and honest lady who was an ardent fan of Shahrukh Khan, had watched his 'Dilwale' film,a 100 times. She simply adored watching all his movies at the comfort of her home. She will be in our thoughts and hearts, always. Our sincere prayers for Barbara’s eternal peace. In deep sorrow Latha ( Singapore)
