DIXON, Theresa M., (nee Kubiniec), June 14, 2018 at her home in Cornelius, NC. Daughter of the late Julian J. & Eugenia S (Gubala), wife of late William F. Survived by children Kathleen Braun, Robert (May) Dixon and William (Rosemary) Dixon. Sister of Richard J. (Joan) Kubiniec and the late Judge Julian F. Kubiniec; also survived by grandchildren Raymond (R.J.) Braun, Zachary Braun, Brooke Dixon, Clayton Dixon, Steven Dixon & Mitchell Dixon and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Theresa's life will be held for family & friends at 3719 East River Rd., Grand Island, NY 14072 Saturday, June 23rd from 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Theresa was a native of Buffalo, NY and long-time resident of North Tonawanda, NY and Grand Island NY where she raised her family. In 2003 she and her husband moved to NC to be closer to their children. Theresa is a graduate of the University of Buffalo with a Master’s degree in Library Science. She worked at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and the North Tonawanda school system as a school librarian, inspiring young minds was her passion. She loved to share her love of reading and her car proudly bore the bumper sticker, “Fight Prime Time, Read A Book!”

She was a member of the Mooresville Lake Norman Newcomers club and a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. Theresa enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends discussing books, and researching investment strategies. Theresa had a special relationship with each of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William F. Dixon.
