Condolence: Another great one gone! My condolences to the whole family especially Auntie Chub, I can only imagine the grief you are experiencing but also the peace of mind that Uncle Phil is not suffering anymore. What a fighter! No wonder we called him Felix the Cat, this guy definitely went through 9 lives and after every battle emerging victorious with a beer in hand! I just realized that I have no more Uncles on my "mothers side" of the family. Uncle Phil was the last of the men that set the example to ALL us cousins what coming from "THE ROCK" was all about. ALL of my Uncles were the salt of the earth. They worked hard, loved their families, played hard and boy oh boy the parties I remember!! I was so fortunate to grow up at a time when family was the main focus of your life. We celebrated birthdays, weddings, communions, graduations and funerals together! The family was always your source of support and even though miles separate many now that love is still there because of the example these great ones set! At a time in history where some can say America was never great, all I can say is you did not come from Black Rock and know MY Uncles! So today I'll be thinking of my Uncle Phil, Uncle Teddy, Uncle Frankie, Uncle Casey, Uncle Dick, Uncle Stash, Uncle Johnny, Uncle Gene(the dancing machine), Uncle Henry and Uncle Ritchie! What a party that must be!! So today I'm going to roll up a pack of Camels in my sleeve, sit down and watch Jessie Brewer on a old General Hospital rerun have a piwo, practice that behind the back dance move and be grateful for my family! NAZDROWIE!! RIP Uncle Phil !
