Josephine B.  Graf (Boho)
Josephine B. Graf, R.N., 97, formerly of Minersville and Pottsville, died Thursday in Buffalo, N.Y., where she had resided with her family for the last five years.

Born in New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Maciag Boho. She was a 1936 graduate of Blythe Township High School, and a 1939 graduate of the Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing.

She worked at the former Pottsville Hospital for 30 years, retiring as an associate director of Patient Care Services in 1983.

She was a lifelong member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Minersville, maintaining her membership after moving to Buffalo.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Stanley Graf Sr.; her son, Stanley Graf Jr.; four sisters, Anna Pullekines, Mary Boho, Stella Demchik, and Victoria Youse; and two brothers, Mitchell and John Boho.

Surviving are two daughters, Camille (Ehsan) Afshani and Anne (Donald) Flansburg, both of Williamsville, New York; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Graf, Minersville; brother-in-law, Charles Youse, Reading; sister-in-law, Josephine Caravan, Bensalem; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and loving friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Matthew the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 135 Spruce St., Minersville. Friends may call from 6 p.m. Thursday and from 6 to 9:15 a.m. Friday at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury St., Minersville. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus No. 2 Cemetery, Branch Township. The family graciously declines flowers in favor of donations to the Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901 or to a charity of the giver's choice.
